I was listening to my friends in Israel, Dr. Reggae & Ras Kulcha, on the
Radio w/
Russ Disciple & Jonah Dan, playing some heavy tunes. The one's that got to
me
were the old-skool, Larry Marshall - Run Babylon (Studio One), Ijahman
Levi - I'm
A Levi (Concrete Jungle), Albert Malawi - Children Of The Emperor (?), Oh
gosh !!!
Now where can I get these tunes w/ out paying 100 pounds, each!!!. Do you
think any of these'll be re-issued soon time ??? Repsect to Israeli Massive
and the Disciples. "

of Raggae music in Tel Aviv. it's such a shame. my friends really liked it-
so soutable for the evening we crash at home..."

>From Manwel Tabone dj from Malta :

>From David Judah Canada.

"Unfortunately I couldn't tune in to Tal's show Reggae Power, the
station's broadcast range didn't reach the south on the Kibbutz.
However, a fat 120 min cassette from him to check out would surely
make up for it. So I have to give Dr. Reggae credit for running a
solid show - I sincerely wish we had this calibre of Reggae Radio
in Canada (no disrespect to Nicky Dread! Guelph is outside my
reception range!) Tal plays a large variety of music, he is very
serious about Reggae, but he also has a good sense of humour and
isn't afraid to have fun and play some crazy dancehall vibes or obscure
independent reggae from around the world. Side one of the cassette is solid
modern roots, sounds from JA and Africa,(music I hear when I stay with
friends in Grenada). Side two shifts into
vintage roots and dub, with Abyssinians, Yabby You, I Roy, the
sounds I love and never hear on the Radio, not outta Toronto at
any rate! I should also mention that many of the Sounds that visit
Israel also guest on his show. The Disciples w/ Jonah Dan and
Channel One had both recently made special appearances on air.
Through the Radio Show Tal is also working with introducing
the youth to the music and it's positive message, with current youthman Razz
working as main selector on the show"
